• Purchase supplies and equipment as authorized
  • Enter day-to-day financial transactions
  • Complete monthly reconciliation of all bank account
  • Issue financial statements Maintain fixed assets list
  • Issue invoices to customers
  • Collect sales taxes from customers and remit (complete sales tax reports)
  • Ensure that receivables are collected promptly
  • Provide information to the external accountant who creates the company’s financial statements
  • Calculate and issue financial analysis of the financial statements
  • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
  • Maintain the chart of accounts
  • Complete payroll in a timely manner
  • Provide clerical and administrative support as requested
  • Complete IRA monthly calculations and payments
  • Complete workers compensation monthly calculation and payments
  • Assist with business insurance requirements as requested
  • Process new hire paperwork
  • Complete any/all other duties as assigned
  • Follow accounting policies and procedures
  • Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements

Education and Experience

  • Knowledge of bookkeeping practices
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements
  • Working knowledge of relevant computer applications – must have experience in QuickBooks online, and MS word and excel
  • Knowledge of data management and financial data analysis
  • An associate degree in accounting, finance or business an advantage
  • Bookkeeping certification
